Myriad, a Web3 prediction and trading protocol, has announced that it has surpassed $10 million in USDC trading volume since launch while onboarding more than 511,000 users. The figures highlight the project’s fast adoption rate and ambition to position prediction markets as a cornerstone of decentralised finance (DeFi).
Since going live, the platform has facilitated more than 5.4 million predictions and seen its browser extension installed over 60,000 times. These early traction numbers have pushed Myriad into the upper tier of Web3 trading applications. The company says this growth demonstrates the appetite for turning information into a tradable asset, cementing its mission to make forecasts and consensus part of mainstream DeFi markets.
“Myriad is turning speculation into a product,” said Loxley Fernandes, co-founder and CEO. “We’re showing that trading ideas and forecasts is not only possible, it’s the next frontier for capital markets.”
Media Roots and Market Credibility
Unlike many crypto-native projects, Myriad draws on a media-driven lineage, tracing its roots back to Decrypt and Rug Radio. The team believes this journalistic heritage provides a crucial trust anchor for markets built around information, expectations, and forecasts.
That credibility has played a role in fuelling momentum among retail users and projects seeking to integrate prediction primitives. By leveraging media-led trust, Myriad is attempting to differentiate itself in an industry often criticised for speculative hype and lack of transparency.

Prediction markets are also gaining broader recognition outside crypto circles. Thomas Peterffy, founder of Interactive Brokers, has even suggested that prediction markets could surpass the stock market within 15 years, citing their ability to price real-world expectations more efficiently than traditional mechanisms.
From Consumer App to Enterprise Rails
Myriad’s strategy spans both consumer-facing tools and a business-to-business protocol for prediction-driven applications. It has already deployed on Abstract and Linea, with planned integrations on EigenLayer and EigenCloud.
The roadmap emphasises:
- Multichain expansion to widen accessibility
- Blended oracle integrations to strengthen data reliability
- Development of ERC-PRED, a proposed token standard to unify prediction assets
If ERC-PRED gains adoption, it could allow prediction instruments to become interoperable across chains and protocols, reducing fragmentation and creating a standardised asset class within DeFi.
This hybrid approach combining retail adoption with enterprise-grade infrastructure is designed to position Myriad as the backbone for both individual traders and institutional users.
Compliance-First Strategy and Institutional Alignment
A defining element of Myriad’s strategy is its compliance-first approach. While many crypto projects focus on rapid user growth, Myriad is actively working on regulatory alignment, particularly in the United States.
By prioritising compliance, the platform hopes to bridge the regulatory gap that has so far kept institutional players hesitant about prediction markets. Institutional adoption, Myriad argues, depends on transparency, controls, and legal clarity, areas it is investing heavily in.

The company sees its blend of retail traction and regulatory readiness as a pathway to mainstream adoption, aiming to transform prediction markets from niche experiments into legitimate components of global financial infrastructure.
A Market at an Inflection Point
Prediction markets allow participants to trade on forecasts, polls, economic outcomes, and binary events, creating an ecosystem where aggregated opinions can lead to more accurate forecasts. Supporters argue that incentivising accurate information through markets could revolutionise decision-making in finance and beyond.
Myriad’s early numbers, half a million-plus users and millions of predictions indicate strong appetite within the Web3 community. But scaling beyond that will hinge on three factors:
- Regulatory clarity
- Institutional-grade tools
- Reliable, interoperable oracle data
With a roadmap balancing technical innovation and compliance, Myriad is well placed to test whether prediction markets can grow into a global DeFi pillar.
By combining strong early traction, media-backed credibility, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and a compliance-led expansion strategy, Myriad is positioning itself as one of the frontrunners in the prediction market space. Whether it can transform forecasts into a standardised, mainstream financial product remains to be seen, but its growth trajectory and strategic positioning suggest that prediction markets are on the cusp of breaking out of their crypto niche and into the wider financial landscape.
