Newly elected Liberland Prime Minister and Tron founder Justin Sun has shared his vision for the future of the micronation. In a detailed statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on October 11, Sun outlined how reducing government expenditure, lowering taxes, and minimizing government interference in citizens’ lives will be key to driving economic prosperity in Liberland.

A New Approach to Governance

Sun emphasized that Liberland’s political strategy will differ from traditional governance models. His plan involves cutting government spending, reducing administrative intervention, and lowering taxes to create a stable economy. The aim is to establish a government that serves its people with minimal centralization, allowing more freedom and autonomy for citizens.

Inspired by Elon Musk’s Views on Freedom

Justin Sun also drew inspiration from Elon Musk’s views on governance. He referenced Musk’s belief that less centralized control and minimal government intervention are essential for fostering innovation, progress, and prosperity. Sun stated that Musk’s advocacy for individual freedom aligns with Liberland’s values and will help shape its libertarian approach to governance.

A Libertarian Hub

Sun envisions Liberland becoming a global hub for libertarian principles. The micronation aims to build its prosperity on voluntary participation, mutual respect, and shared values, rather than on mandates, taxes, or geographic boundaries. He believes that Liberland can serve as a model for minimalist governance, demonstrating that stability and economic success can be achieved without heavy centralization or regulation.

A Blockchain-Powered Government

Sun’s appointment follows a blockchain-based election, which also saw several other prominent figures elected to Liberland’s Congress, including Indian entrepreneur Evan Luthra and former politician Ivan Pernar. Founded in 2015 by Czech politician Vít Jedlička, Liberland claims 785,000 citizens living abroad and occupies a small piece of land between Serbia and Croatia.

Opposition Ministers in Liberland’s Congress

In addition to Prime Minister Justin Sun and entrepreneur Evan Luthra, Liberland’s Congress includes several re-elected seasoned members, such as Navid Saberin, Dorian Stern Vukotić, and Michal Ptáčník. These experienced politicians, who were part of Liberland’s earlier political landscape, are expected to maintain a balance of stability in governance. While Sun and Luthra bring fresh perspectives, particularly around tech-based initiatives, Saberin, Vukotić, and Ptáčník represent continuity, ensuring that Liberland’s foundational values remain intact alongside the new leadership’s innovative ideas. This blend of new and seasoned leaders is crucial to the nation’s development.
